Yeah, originally created by this mega-rich genius named Issaquah B. Greed. It literally feeds on suffering, and his goal is to end the universe.

Quite. And what's really striking is its human face, or one of them anyway. Caroline Easterbrook. She's the director of the Oval Office in the U.S., powerful woman, Harvard MBA, transhuman with a neural implant.

Exactly. And she leads this group, the Inner Circle of Darkness, sometimes called the Nucleus or the GELS Global Elites. She's described as murderous, greedy, absolutely dedicated to suppressing truth.

And she doesn't work alone, I imagine.

Very. Then you have Chief Launchmaster Oscuro Ligero, uh Dark Light, a U.S. Space Force officer in charge of battleships.

Wealth, too. There's Pirano Paisa, the richest man on Earth in Mars. He's after this vital thing called the crystal of truth. These figures show how the Yang side corrupts everything.

They're represented by the Guardians of Truth, specifically an group called the Mithraic Order. Okay. Founded by an ascended master, Muhana Mithra. He transcribed this text, the Srushkok Uthpati, and wrote The Manifesto of Soul. Their core mission is, well, protecting truth, upholding love, light, compassion, integrity, and action. They actively fight against the suppression of wisdom.

And central to their cause is that crystal you mentioned, the one Pirano Paisa is after.

Yes, the Satyako crystal. It's a nine-sided crystal encoded with ancient cosmic wisdom. It basically outlines the origin of reality, the whole purpose of the simulation.

Dark Mind possesses it, yes. And the inner circle of darkness, they've been corrupting the simulation's programming for millions of years.

Rillions.

Millions, gaining an unfair advantage by exploiting that indifference we talked about, spreading hate and greed.

And they even manipulated Earth's history.

Oh, not at all. You can picture him, right? A musician suddenly thrust into this. Initially, he really struggles, a refusal of the call.

He had a superhero past.

SPEAKER_01:

Apparently, as Kid Millennium, a persona given to him by Elijah, who's a Pleiadian guardian. But Holden dismisses it all as uh, well, the source says bullshit, past failures.

Understandable, I guess. So how does he get past that refusal?

SPEAKER_01:

He meets mentors, key figures. He reads Muhana Misra's works, the guy who founded the Mithraic Order. He has direct encounters with Elijah again, meets Kobava, the green man. The green man. Yep. Who activates this ability Holden has called Delta Time Shift.

Time shifting, okay.

And maybe most profoundly, he starts getting Wow, okay.

Heavy stuff.

She also has second sight, Rathark. Then there's Who's Kahuna, a wise leader of a nomadic tribe, the Bulkata, and a group called the Freedom Warriors.

A real fellowship forming. And the enemies.

Plenty of those too. Dark minds agents, like we discussed, the Mars World Police, even robotic things called Mech 3 Kill droids.

So a classic fight against tough odds, but with these very specific, futuristic Martian twists.

So what does all this do to Holden? How does he change? From this reluctant musician to, well, a warrior of light.

Complete with these incredibly advanced subterranean cities, like Baluva Shahara, that's now Mars City and Sublime City. Subterranean city. Carved directly into the walls of Valles Marineris Canyon. And they're over 30 million years old.

30 million? That's hard to even comprehend compared to Earth cities.

SPEAKER_01:

It is a scale of urban development just way beyond our current understanding. Yes, absolutely. The Great Martian War happened around 33.3 million BCE.

Wow. Who was fighting?

SPEAKER_01:

It was violent conflict between humans, presumably the ancestors, Beluva Manche, who are described as Martian human gray hybrids. Hybrid, okay, and also some rogue Pleiadian geneticists.

They're a real mess.

A huge mess. It involved two massive nuclear detonations, wiped out 98.033% of the six billion Baluva Mancha population on Mars. Devastating utterly. But it also led to an invention, a nuclear shunt device designed to neutralize nuclear blasts afterwards. A terrible lesson learned, maybe.

So that cataclysm, that's what ultimately led to humans coming to Earth. It connects to our own origin story.

Precisely. It sparked the Great Migration. An escape from Mars, which they called Nilihira, the blue diamond, Nilhira, that's name to Earth, their Nulimuti, the Blue Pearl.

Blue Pearl, okay.

Three ships tried to make the journey. The lead one, the origin, crashed, landed in what's now Oceania, basically Australia.
